Where I've been...

Believe it or not, I have MISSED my blog!  I wasn't able to sit and write for a few weeks, then last week I would stare at the blank screen with zero thoughts wanting to be written down.

I do have things swirling in my head I'd like to get out of my head, but I think for today I'll just do a recap of my 5 week hiatus.  Hopefully that will unlock my mind and allow for a pouring out of all that's in there...

So don't say I didn't warn  you. ;)

Here's the short version of my last five weeks:

Finally, Professional Pics Taken.  It was a TOUGH session...

April 1st my sister got married.  I tried to download an actual wedding pic from fb,
but my computer won't let me, and I don't feel like messing with it.

After the wedding, my darling nephew came home with us.  LOVE having him here! :)

The next week was Spring Break!  We started by heading to NC to visit my sweet Kim and her family!

Then we headed to Myrtle Beach.  First vacation in 4 years!!
And first time the kids have seen the ocean. :)

I tried to restrain posting all my beach pictures... ;)

After a few incredible beach days, we headed to my sister's new house about an hour and a half from MB.  They're way too far away from us now, but we fell in love with SC, so I'm sure we'll visit often. :D

Then back to NC and the Anderson Family for a few more days.
This was the most encouraging part of the trip for me!

I then came home with a somewhat refreshed heart and determination
to get myself back on track, physically and spritually.
And to attempt to learn how to love to clean and organize my home... ha.
So I've been working on a daily list to help.  The first week went SUPER.
Don't ask about this week...

I also jumped into some books.  Books that don't rhyme or have colorful pictures.
I'd been neglecting any adult reading (fiction or nonfiction) and I missed it.
I had promised a friend I would do As Silver Refined with her.  I hate this book.  More on that another time.

Made to Crave was NOT on my list.  It was on a list for another friend.  Somehow, it ended up on my doorstep for me to read as well.  AMAZING book!
(and another one I don't like much)

Friendship for Grownups is actually the only one I wanted to read myself.  It's been on my list for MONTHS.  I keep putting it off though...  I have major friendship issues (which I'm finally starting to get better at!).  I'm not sure I can take another convicting book at the moment...

Needless to say, God has been tugging fiercely at my heart, and I am just not ready to give... Isn't that awful??  So my attitude has been... not the greatest...  and my frustration level has been very high.

Add into that  3 very busy sometimes super whiny children in a house we've way outgrown and disastrous messes that completely overwhelm and paralyze me, and well, the fact I have enough sanity to write a post is a mystery...

Blogging is a good outlet for me, even if it's not always enjoyable to read.

Of course the reading part is optional.

I'll update my weight loss, and a few other things rolling around in my head soon.  I promise, sooner than 5 weeks! ;)
